Dominion Hills is a lively North Arlington neighborhood full of community spirit. In the beginning stages of the neighborhood’s founding, it was mainly composed of farms and orchards. That all changed in the early 1940s when developer Merwyn A. Mace platted the land and built many of the Colonial Revival homes, several of which still stand today.

Dominion Hills begins at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and N Arlington Mill and continues west of Wilson Boulevard, north up N McKinley Road, which turns into N Ohio Street, east across I-66, south down Patrick Henry Drive and then south again on N Arlington Mill Drive until it meets Wilson Boulevard. The Arlington, Virginia community borders Boulevard Manor, Bluemont, Westover Village, Highland Park-Overlee Knolls and Madison Manor.

Dominion Hills homes for sale are mostly single-family homes, with the majority built in the Colonial style popular in the area. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, since most of the development occurred in the 1940s during the Colonial Revival architectural period in the United States. Dominion Hills’ Colonial homes generally have brick and/or siding exteriors, clean architectural lines, a middle-centered front door and in-line windows and shutters. There are also a few homes here and there that break the mold, with some ramblers and split-levels also available. One thing to note is that the homes in Dominion Hills are typically more affordable than some of the other more well-known areas of North Arlington.
